Hubertus Oktoberbier

Tap to rate

Full-bodied, strong in character and yet light enough to invite another glass: the Austrian take on the Bavarian classic, brewed in what the brewery calls 'Hirsch-Manier'. It is made in Laa an der Thaya with malt from Lower Austria and Burgenland, water from the brewery's own well and the cold-led main fermentation that Hubertus uses for all its lagers.

◐ Taste

Full-bodied entry with soft, pillowy malt sweetness that coats the palate generously. The mid-palate reveals bready, slightly toasted character balanced by restrained Edelhopfen bitterness (22 IBU), which remains polished rather than sharp. The finish transitions smoothly from malt to a gentle, dry close.

◑ Finish

Medium finish with a clean, slightly dry aftertaste that invites another sip. No harshness or astringency; the fade is graceful and malt-driven.
