Hazy Hornbeer

◎ Appearance

A pale, deliberately hazy pour with a luminous quality that speaks to its unfiltered, unpasteurised nature. The cloudiness sits suspended throughout, catching light rather than settling, while a modest white head rises and recedes with restraint. Carbonation is present but measured, contributing to a soft, approachable visual presence.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with bright citrus—peach and orange lead, followed by grapefruit zest and a fresh herbal undertone. Citra and Mosaic hops deliver their characteristic stone fruit and citrus without aggression, underpinned by a subtle floral note that adds complexity without overwhelming. There is no sharp resinous bite; instead, a clean, inviting aromatic profile that draws you closer.

◐ Taste

The palate enters dry and clean, with peach and orange settling into the mid-palate as the dominant flavours. Resinous, herbal notes provide structure and grip without punishing—the eight IBU sits as barely-there bitterness, allowing the hop character to express itself as flavour rather than harsh finish. The restraint is deliberate; this beer prioritises brightness and fruit over aggressive drying.

◑ Finish

A clean, medium-length finish that fades to a gentle citrus and herb fade, with no lingering astringency. The drying quality persists just long enough to refresh, inviting the next sip without demanding it.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
