◎ Appearance

Deep amber hue with excellent clarity and a warm, inviting glow when held to light. A moderate, creamy head forms and settles into fine lacing that clings to the glass walls with gentle persistence. The carbonation is restrained, befitting the contemplative character of the style.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with dried stone fruits—apricot and fig—layered beneath warm caramel and toasted Malz character. A subtle earthiness and gentle spice emerge as the beer warms, while the organic cultivation adds a clean, unforced quality to the overall aromatic profile. No sharp phenolics or aggressive fermentation notes intrude.

◐ Taste

Sweet entry with pronounced dark fruit and caramel that builds smoothly across the mid-palate, never becoming cloying. The malt structure is rich and full-bodied, delivering a rounded sweetness that feels purposeful rather than excessive. Bitterness is subdued, allowing the fruit-forward depth to unfold naturally; the 6.1% alcohol sits warmly in the background, providing gentle support without heat.

◑ Finish

The finish lingers with lingering caramel and dried fruit, tapering gradually to a slightly warm, slightly dry aftertaste. Length is moderate, inviting another sip rather than demanding it.

Serve at 10–12°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The wide mouth and heavy base promote head formation and channel rich aromatics toward the nose. Traditional for Belgian strong ales.
