Hop Hog

Tap to rate

Feral's first hop-driven beer and the template for everything that followed in the range. It pours copper-orange and smells of grapefruit, pine needles and resin, with further citrus and a tropical edge. A solid malt backbone adds sweetness and body, keeping the hops in check without hiding them. The finish is clean, dry and markedly bitter. First sold as an India pale ale, it has long been labelled an American pale ale by the brewery.
