Teamwork

Tap to rate

Teamwork is a bottle-conditioned Stingo at 9.0 %, a strong ale type the brewery was known for in the 20th century. It is the second Founder's Day ale and is dedicated to the brothers John and Edward Woodhouse. Pale ale, crystal and chocolate malts give a deep chestnut brown; the strength shows as warming hints of sherry and port. Target, Progress, Fuggles and Centennial hops lead to a robustly bitter finish. A limited edition.

◐ Taste

Entry is full and rounded, with malt-driven sweetness balanced by the ale's 9% strength, which manifests as port-like richness in the mid-palate. Bitterness builds gradually from the noble and American hop blend, culminating in a robustly dry, lingering finish that avoids astringency.

◑ Finish
