Blandford Fly
Blandford Fly is a golden ale with ginger at 5.2 %, tawny to copper in colour. The name comes from a biting fly of the River Stour, whose bite the spice was said to soothe. The nose is spicy and malty; on the palate the ginger arrives clearly, cushioned by toffee and a pronounced sweetness that takes the heat out of it. It is the sweet-and-spicy outlier among the brewery's lighter ales and is brewed all year.
