◎ Appearance

Deep brown body with reddish undertones, characteristic of a well-crafted Imperial Porter. A sandy tan head settles to a thin collar with modest lacing that clings to the glass. The beer presents clear definition between the dark liquid and cream-colored foam.

◌ Aroma

Dark roast and milk chocolate dominate the initial impression, supported by a mild, sweet bourbon note that speaks to the barrel aging. Vanilla and oak emerge in the background, layering complexity without overwhelming the malt-forward character. The hop contribution remains restrained, allowing the wood and spirit to lead.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with chocolate sweetness and roasted grain depth, then develops bourbon and vanilla notes through the mid-palate. The body is thick and silky, carrying the alcohol warmth smoothly at 12.5% ABV. A gentle bitterness emerges in the finish with a slightly chalky, drying character from the roasted malts.

The finish is long and warming, with the roast and oak lingering on the palate. Mild chalky dryness persists without harshness, allowing the bourbon and vanilla notes to fade gracefully into the aftertaste.

Serve at 10–13°C. Too cold mutes the roasted complexity that makes a good porter worth drinking slowly.
