🌍 United States · Kölsch · One of 51 Kölschs in hopIQ

A Kölsch-style ale first brewed in 2018 with former Cleveland offensive tackle Joe Thomas and named for his jersey number; it returns every August to northern Ohio and select markets. Two-row base malt with rye and a portion of corn, hopped with Mt. Hood. It pours a bright gold. Grainy pale malt, a little peppery spice and an earthy, floral hop note make up the nose. The palate is light and smooth with a hint of lemon, and the grain leaves a gentle bitterness in a crisp, dry finish.
