Deep brown with mahogany undertones, translucent and clean beneath a modest tan head. The carbonation is gentle, supporting a thin collar of foam that clings lightly to the glass as you drink. The color reflects a measured roast—neither opaque nor pale, suggesting balance between the porter's dark malt and the bourbon barrel's influence.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with layered complexity: roasted coffee and dark chocolate from the porter base meld with warming baking spices—cinnamon and nutmeg—from the pumpkin component. Beneath these, vanilla and charred oak from the bourbon barrel emerge as the beer warms, adding a subtle sweetness that prevents the roast from becoming austere.

Entry is smooth and full-bodied, with chocolate and coffee anchoring the palate. The mid-palate reveals the pumpkin spice character—warm and almost candied—while oak and bourbon warmth build depth without sharpness. Bitterness is restrained at 25 IBU, allowing the sweet malt backbone and vanilla notes to dominate the overall impression.

The finish is medium-long, with vanilla and oak lingering pleasantly alongside a faint roasted grain dryness. Warmth from the bourbon persists without any harsh alcohol burn, leaving the drinker with a rounded, satisfying aftertaste that bridges autumn and winter.
