Deep mahogany to near-black in the glass, with excellent clarity revealing the beer's true color and density. The head is thick and persistent, leaving distinctive lacing that clings to the glass with each sip. Carbonation is moderate and well-integrated, appropriate for the style.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with roasted malt character and espresso notes, immediately followed by aromatic cold-brew coffee and vanilla bean. Beneath these primary adjuncts, subtle dark chocolate and cocoa notes emerge from the deep malt base. The overall impression is balanced between the coffee-vanilla interplay and the underlying roasted grain foundation.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with roasted grain and coffee clarity, followed by smooth vanilla sweetness that integrates naturally rather than cloying. Mid-palate reveals layered dark chocolate and cocoa complexity, while gentle bitterness (33 IBU) provides structure without harshness. The beer finishes with a light dryness that balances the inherent sweetness of the adjuncts.

The finish is clean and moderately long, with lingering espresso and vanilla notes fading gradually into dry roasted grain. No sharp edges or astringency remain; the aftertaste is pleasant and inviting.

Serve at 10–13°C. Too cold mutes the roasted complexity that makes a good porter worth drinking slowly.
