Falkon Halcón

Czech Republic·Mexican Lager
Tap to rate

Halcón is Falkon's answer to the idea that a Mexican lager has to be dull. Alongside Pilsner and Munich malt it uses torrefied corn, and then adds lime leaves and a little salt, with Gaia and Mosaic as hops. The name is Spanish for falcon. Bottom-fermented, citrusy and fresh, a lager with a small twist.

◐ Taste

The palate arrives crisp and refreshing, with a pronounced citrusy character that integrates smoothly with a light, bready malt sweetness. A delicate salinity enhances the overall balance and adds mineral complexity, while the 20 IBU bitterness provides just enough structure without dominating. The torrefied corn contributes a dry, refined finish to the mid-palate.
