Eddystone is a golden IPA hopped generously with Cascade. The aroma is distinctly fruity and the palate follows suit, with a citrus edge from the hops; a slight touch of malt appears in the middle before the fruit returns at the close. Bitterness stays restrained, so the hop character comes across as aromatic rather than sharp, and 4.8% is a moderate strength for an IPA. One of the brewery's long-standing regulars, it is sold on cask and as a bottle-conditioned beer.
