🌍 Germany · Helles Lager · One of 222 Helles Lagers in hopIQ

The 1775 Helles Lager was created for the brewery's 250th anniversary and takes its name from the year brewing is first recorded in Marne. At 10.5 °P it is deliberately light, fermented with the brewery's own yeast strain. It pours pale gold; a very late addition of flavour hops lends a lively, gently fruity citrus note of lemon zest over a mild, soft malt base with hints of fresh bread, and the finish is crisp and clean.
