Kwak Amber
Pauwel Kwak ran an inn in Dendermonde in Napoleon's day and had a glass blown that hung from a coach, so coachmen could drink like their passengers; Ivo Bosteels revived beer and glass in 1982. Biscuit, banana, orange marmalade and hints of caramel and spice lead, ending in a delicate bitterness. A strong Belgian amber ale at 8.4%, light amber with a full, velvety head.
