Stirchley Lager

Tap to rate

Stirchley Lager is named after the Birmingham suburb where it is brewed and has been in the range since 2017. The 4.4% lager is made with British floor malt and then dry hopped, which gives it undertones of pine and citrus and a crisp finish. It is sold mainly in cans and is also poured on keg. At the regional SIBA awards it won silver in 2018 and 2021 and bronze in 2026, each time among the session-strength lagers.

◐ Taste

Entry is lean and refreshing, with subtle malt sweetness providing foundation without heaviness. The mid-palate develops the dry-hop character more fully—herbal and citric notes emerge alongside gentle bitterness. Low IBU (22) ensures the bitterness remains integrated rather than assertive, allowing the hop aromatics to take precedence over harshness.
