Berg Weihnachtsbier

Tap to rate

A strong festive lager for the Christmas season, built on four malts: pale barley, roasted, and light and dark caramel, kilned for longer at higher temperatures. The result is malt-forward and varied, with bitterness and sweetness held in balance and the hop aroma kept level with the grain. Hallertauer Magnum and Tettnanger Perle provide the hopping; a slow mash and a second fermentation in the tank are part of the process. Original gravity is 13.6 percent. Available from November.
