Launched in 2020 as the abbey's first new beer since the 1950s, Triple Extra draws on a strong blonde ale brewed at Rochefort from 1920 to about 1923. The grist is roughly nine parts pilsner malt to one part wheat malt, which leaves a slight haze, with sweet orange peel and spices in the boil and aromatic hops from Alsace. Citrus, orange peel and floral notes lead, followed by pear, green apple, honeyed pale malt and a light peppery spice. Since 2024 a draught version at 7.6 percent is also poured, without refermentation. Ranked by flavour match rather than popularity.
