hopIQ found 10 beers that share Britpop's hoppy and citrusy character. A limited release that sets an English IPA on a base of traditional British malts, which give it a biscuity backbone, and ferments it with an English ale yeast that keeps the character soft and lightly fruity. The hopping draws on both traditions: citrus, pine and stone fruit from the American varieties, marmalade and spice from First Gold, blackcurrant and lychee from the younger English hop Jester. Fruit-forward, but the malt and a restrained bitterness stay in view.
