Beers similar to British IPA
hopIQ found 10 beers that share British IPA's floral and bitter character. Brewed to the older English pattern rather than the American one, pouring deep copper. Traditional European hops give a floral, lightly herbal aroma over a rich caramel malt backbone. The malt stays sweet and bready through the middle, and the bitterness is firm but measured, trimming the sweetness instead of overriding it. The finish is clean and moderately dry, the hop character sitting alongside the malt rather than above it.
