Beers similar to Heineken Original
hopIQ found 10 beers that share Heineken Original's dry and malty character. Heineken Original is the brewery's flagship pale lager, brewed from malted barley, water and hop extract and fermented with the house A-yeast. It pours clear gold under a white head. The yeast gives a light fruity note with a hint of banana, set over a soft, grainy malt base with a touch of bread crust. Hop extract keeps the bitterness mild and evenly blended rather than sharp, and the beer finishes dry, crisp and short, with little sweetness left on the tongue.
