Wührer
A brand that goes back to 1829, when Franz Xaver Wührer leased a brewery in the centre of Brescia; Peroni acquired it in 1988 and later closed the Brescia site. Today it is a pale, bottom-fermented everyday lager, straw yellow and bright under a white head. A delicately fruity note sits over grainy, lightly sweet malt and a hint of bread crust, herbal and grassy hops follow on a full but easy palate, and a moderate bitterness leads into a dry finish.
