Launched in 2019, the Helles is, next to the Kellerbier, the second bottom-fermented beer of a brand built on wheat beer. It pours a clear, shining golden yellow. The nose shows clean, biscuity malt and grainy notes with a subtle hint of banana and pear. A lightly sweet start leads into a clean bitterness that carries through to a dry finish, while the restrained hopping keeps the overall impression soft. The body is medium, and the strength matches that of a Pils or Weissbier.
