India Double Porter

Geschmacksnotizen

KI-generiertes Sensorikprofil für India Double Porter

◎ Aussehen

Pours deep black with minimal light transmission, topped by a substantial caramel-coloured head that settles into a fine collar. Carbonation appears moderate, supporting the head's retention without excessive vigour. The body presents opaque and full, befitting an Imperial Porter of this weight.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with layered complexity: wood and leather emerge first, followed by coffee and milk chocolate notes. Jasmine, peach, and blueberry add delicate fruit character, while the Nelson Sauvin and Vic Secret hops contribute orange zest and subtle herbal depth. The aromatic profile balances dark malt richness with hop-driven stone fruit and citrus.

◐ Geschmack

Entry reveals treacle sweetness and tar minerality, with leather and smoke developing across the mid-palate. Raisins and dried fruit notes persist underneath, while the current hop varieties inject orange, grapefruit, and mango—atypical brightness for the style. Bitterness sits at 45 IBU, restrained and integrated rather than assertive, allowing malt and fruit to lead.

◑ Abgang

The finish is warming and sustained, with lingering chocolate and citrus pith. Despite 7.4% ABV, alcohol heat is minimal and well-masked by the malt structure, allowing the aftertaste to settle into a dry, slightly bitter conclusion.
