◎ Aussehen

Colour & Shape presents a bright golden-amber hue characteristic of West Coast IPA, with excellent transparency and a pale straw tint against strong light. The head rises with moderate density and displays good Schaumhaftung, clinging to the glass in fine lacing patterns. Carbonation appears lively and well-integrated, supporting a sustained crown.

◌ Aroma

The nose is dominated by a single-varietal Citra expression—ripe mango, guava, and passionfruit leap immediately, layered with bright grapefruit zest and tangerine pith. No competing hop character clouds the profile; the tropical fruit takes full stage. Beneath sits a lean, almost neutral Malz foundation, allowing the Edelhopfen to speak without distraction.

◐ Geschmack

The palate opens with soft peachy-tropical hop oils that dry the mouth incrementally across the mid-palate. Bitterness builds smoothly—medium and sustained without harshness—finishing the sentence rather than shouting it. The Malz backbone remains restrained, offering just enough sweetness to balance the dry hop resin without adding weight; the result is eminently crushable despite genuine complexity.

◑ Abgang

The aftertaste is crisp and moderately lingering, with Citra's citric bite gradually fading to a faint herbal dryness. No cloying sweetness or warming alcohol mark remains; the beer exits the palate as cleanly as it arrived.

Gut gekühlt servieren. Session IPAs sind am besten kalt — der niedrigere Alkohol bedeutet weniger Wärme zur Balance der Hopfen.

Die geschwungene Form konzentriert Hopfenaromen und hält den Schaum. Unverzichtbar für aromatische Ales und IPAs, bei denen die Nase die halbe Erfahrung ist.
