Half Fancy presents a striking reddish-purple hue, hazy and opaque throughout the glass. The head is generous and frothy with a distinctive pink tinge, settling into persistent lacing along the sides. The cloudiness comes from the yeast and fruit adjuncts, characteristic of its style.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with bright blueberry fruit, supported by warm biscuit and Malz notes that provide an earthy foundation. A subtle sweetness rounds the aromatics without dominating, while a delicate citrus undertone keeps the profile balanced and inviting.

◐ Geschmack

Blueberry and cream dominate the palate entry, creating a smooth, rounded mouthfeel that feels fuller than the modest 5.3% ABV suggests. A touch of lemon zest lifts the fruit mid-palate, preventing it from becoming cloying. The finish arrives clean and dry, with a restrained bitterness that closes gently without astringency.

The aftertaste is brief and refreshing, with lingering berry notes fading into a dry, Malz-tinged closure. No harshness or rough edges remain.
