Pours a deep dark brown with subtle ruby highlights when held to light. Fine carbonation creates a modest, persistent head with good adhesion to the glass. The body appears clean and bright despite its opacity, characteristic of a well-executed cold lager fermentation.

◌ Aroma

The nose leads with roasted coffee and dark chocolate notes from the specialty malts. Beneath sits a soft, bready sweetness from caramel and sponge cake character. The Apollo and Eureka hops contribute a subtle, restrained herbal undertone that frames rather than dominates the composition.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is smooth and approachable, with the malt profile unfolding across the palate: chocolate, coffee, and light toffee notes sit in the mid-palate. A measured bitterness (20 IBU) surfaces in the mid-section to balance the roast without harshness. The cold fermentation keeps the mouthfeel clean and round, preventing any heaviness despite the dark grain bill.

The finish is dry and refreshing, with a lingering coffee and cocoa character that fades cleanly. No harshness or astringency; the aftertaste reflects the beer's balanced, approachable nature.
