The nose combines earthy and floral notes from the Goldings and Fuggles hops with a pronounced toffee and caramel sweetness from the malt base. Secondary notes of dark dried fruit—raisin and prune—emerge alongside a subtle cocoa undertone. The rye adds a gentle spice and grain character that rounds out the bouquet without dominating.

The palate opens with a balanced malt sweetness—toffee and dark chocolate—that is immediately tempered by a clean, measured bitterness from the noble hops.
