Droppin' Cones presents a bright golden-amber hue, characteristic of its 9 SRM profile. The beer displays excellent clarity with lively carbonation evident throughout the glass. A dense, off-white head forms readily and clings to the glass wall with good retention, leaving distinct lacing on each sip.

◌ Aroma

The nose is dominated by a bold citrus character—lemon zest and grapefruit pith—layered with distinct tropical fruit notes of mango and passionfruit from the Mosaic, Citra, and Zythos hops. Beneath the fruit-forward profile lies a light resinous quality and subtle malt backbone of toasted grain, with no apparent yeast esters or adjunct character muddying the composition.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is crisp and juicy, with citrus oils coating the palate immediately. The mid-palate expands into layered tropical and stone-fruit sweetness before the raw cane sugar and elevated IBU (100) converge to deliver a assertive, drying bitterness. The 9.5% alcohol is well-integrated, providing backbone without heat or solvent character, while the Crystal and Dakota malts contribute a light caramel sweetness that tempers the overall bitterness without creating cloy.

The finish is long and dry, with lingering resinous bitterness and citrus pith that persists for several minutes. The cane sugar's contribution ensures a clean, refreshing aftertaste free of cloying residue, making the substantial ABV feel appropriately proportioned.
