Passing Storm presents a pale golden hue typical of West Coast IPA character, with excellent clarity and a bright, clean complexion. The head forms quickly and clings to the glass with fine, persistent lacing. Carbonation is lively and well-integrated, supporting a crisp visual presence throughout the tasting.

◌ Aroma

The nose is immediately dominated by bright citrus notes—grapefruit zest and lemon peel come through cleanly—layered with herbaceous pine resin and a subtle floral undertone. The double dry hop bill (Simcoe, Citra, Centennial) speaks clearly without any harsh alcohol vapors. Underneath runs a whisper of pale malt that frames the hops without competing for attention.

◐ Geschmack

Entry is crisp and hoppy, with resinous bitterness taking the lead across the palate. Citrus flavors—particularly grapefruit and lemon—build through the mid-palate and sit comfortably alongside a light, supporting malt sweetness. The body is lean and clean, as befits an alcohol-free interpretation, allowing the resinous bite and dry character to remain the focal point without heaviness.

The finish is decidedly dry and bitter, with lingering resinous and piney notes that fade gradually. No residual sweetness or warming alcohol lingers; the aftertaste remains crisp and hoppy to the close.
