Killer Queen presents a light copper hue with excellent clarity and bright luminosity. The head is dense and persistent, clinging to the glass wall with fine lacing as carbonation gradually releases. The body carries an inviting translucence characteristic of well-executed double IPAs.

◌ Aroma

The nose is dominated by layered American hop character: Simcoe and Amarillo deliver citrus and pine notes, while Mosaic and Citra bring stone fruit and tropical fruit aromatics. A Vermont yeast strain contributes soft, faintly floral undertones that round the profile without masking the hop expression. Subtle malt backbone provides modest support without heaviness.

The palate enters with clean, dextrose-driven dryness that immediately showcases hop bitterness and flavour. Mid-palate reveals the full complexity of the four-hop blend—resinous, fruited, and assertive—while the added dextrose strips away excess malt sweetness and lets American Edelhopfen shine. At 100 IBU, the bitterness is substantial and structured rather than aggressive, finishing dry and crisp.

The finish is clean and lingering, with hop bitterness trailing into the aftertaste without harshness. Dryness persists through the throat, leaving a mineral, slightly piney sensation that invites the next sip.
