Deep garnet-black with an opaque body that yields no light; a dense, tan head forms and clings to the glass with persistent lacing. The carbonation is restrained, befitting the beer's weight and intended contemplative pace.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with roasted coffee and dark chocolate, layered beneath vanilla and caramel from extended bourbon barrel contact. Dried stone fruit and oak emerge as the beer warms, with the alcohol present but not aggressive—a warming rather than sharp note.

◐ Geschmack

The palate is densely structured: coffee and chocolate form the foundation, with bourbon wood contributing vanilla, oak tannins, and a subtle dried-fruit sweetness. The body is full and smooth, alcohol warming the throat without burning; bitterness is restrained, allowing richness to dominate across the mid-palate.

◑ Abgang

The finish is long and contemplative, with chocolate and roasted grain lingering well into the aftertaste. Vanilla and oak fade slowly, leaving a pleasant drying sensation and a faint coffee note that invites the next sip.
