The nose is hop-forward and assertive, leading with herbal and peppery notes from noble hop varieties. Subtle bread crust and light grainy malt undertones provide a gentle counterbalance without overwhelming the composition. The overall impression is spicy and aromatic, befitting this brewery's coastal speciality.

The palate opens with robust, grainy malt backbone that recalls fresh bread crust and cereal notes. Herbal and peppery hop bitterness builds steadily through the mid-palate, remaining assertive and well-integrated rather than harsh. The bitterness is the defining character—pronounced and lingering—while the overall body is lean and clean.

The finish is dry and lingering, with the hop bitterness persisting well into the aftertaste. No sweetness intrudes; instead, a subtle spice and herbal dryness dominates the closing moments.
