◎ Aussehen

Deep black to dark brown in color, with a dense, tan head that builds on the pour and clings persistently to the glass. The beer presents unfined clarity, showing minimal haziness characteristic of the unfined house style. Carbonation is moderate, supporting a tight foam collar that laces steadily down the side of the glass.

◌ Aroma

Toasted grain and light roast malt lead the nose, complemented by earthy, herbaceous notes from the Columbus and Bramling Cross hops. There is a subtle bitterness in the aroma—dry and austere—with no sweetness or fruity esters. The overall impression is restrained and clean, typical of a well-balanced dry stout.

◐ Geschmack

The palate opens with dry malt character and a smooth, creamy body that carries the beer through the mid-palate. Subtle roast and toast flavors develop without harshness, while Columbus and Bramling Cross impart a gentle herbal bitterness that balances the malt sweetness. The sessionable 4.5% ABV allows the hop bitterness to shine without alcohol heat.

◑ Abgang

The finish is clean and dry, with lingering bitterness from the noble hops and a faint roast character that gradually fades. The aftertaste remains light and refreshing, inviting another sip without heaviness.
