Known for Dark Mild · English Bitter

Founded in Spring 2005 by Matthew Walley at Common Farm, Waverton, near Chester. Farm brewery with 'Farm to Fork' ethos: used grains feed cattle and pigs, beehives provide honey, solar panels generate electricity. All beers gluten-free and 100% vegan. Two pubs: The Brewery Tap Chester (2008) and West Kirby Tap (2014). Old Wavertonian won Beer of the Festival at CAMRA Northwich Beer Festival 2005 — their very first festival entered.

How they compare
Each beer measured against others of its own style, then averaged across the range. Compared with 424 other breweries making American Pale Ale.
Three beers is enough for a first read, not a full house style — one unusual beer moves this a lot.

Spitting Feathers Brewery's beers land close to what is typical for the American Pale Ale styles they brew. The character is in the styles they choose and how consistently they hit them — not in standing apart from the field.
