Schöfferhofer is the wheat beer brand of Radeberger Gruppe, run from Frankfurt am Main. Binding launched it in 1978 and named it after the former Schöfferhof brewery in Mainz, which had joined Binding in 1921 and never brewed wheat beer; the label shows the Mainz printer Peter Schöffer. The brand calls itself the first wheat beer brewed outside Bavaria. Since the Binding brewery in Frankfurt closed in 2023, the beers have been brewed at a sister site of the group. Four wheat beers sit alongside a range of fruit mixes.
