Saltus Brewing was founded around 2015 by Asier Landa and Iker Otxoa de Eribe, two young brewers from Murgia in the Basque province of Álava. The project began as a nomadic brewery before joining the EH Bier Koop cooperative in 2017 alongside other Basque-Navarrese craft breweries. The cooperative established a shared production facility in the Berriainz industrial estate in Aizoáin, near Pamplona, with a maximum capacity of 150,000 litres. Saltus brews under its own identity within this cooperative structure, offering beers with names drawing on Basque language and culture.
