Award winningKnown for a full range of styles

Narragansett Brewing Company traces its roots to December 1890, when six local businessmen brewed the first batch of lager in Cranston, Rhode Island. The beer went on to become New England's best-selling brand, but after the takeover by Falstaff the Cranston plant closed in 1983. Mark Hellendrung and a group of local investors bought the brand back in 2005, and it remains independently owned. Since 2021 Narragansett has brewed in Rhode Island again, at its own brewery and taproom on the Providence waterfront.

Each beer measured against others of its own style, then averaged across the range. Compared with the wider catalogue across breweries making similar styles.

Across 13 beers in 7 style families, none of Narragansett Brewing Company's characters carry through the whole range — the mix of styles they brew is the signature here.
