Award winningKnown for a full range of styles

Löwenbräu is one of Munich's most historic brewing names. The earliest verified documentary mention of brewing at the Löwengrube site dates to 1524, though the brewery's own tradition points to around 1383. By 1863, Löwenbräu was Munich's largest brewery, and by the early twentieth century the largest in all of Germany. Today the brand is owned by AB InBev, following a 1997 merger with Spaten-Franziskaner-Bräu and acquisition by Interbrew in 2003. Core beers include the Löwenbräu Original Helles, Dunkel, the Triumphator Doppelbock, and a seasonal Oktoberfestbier.
