Brauerei Lieberth
Family brewery in Hallerndorf, Upper Franconia, whose brewing right goes back to 1679, when the prince-bishop granted it to a local butcher and farmer. A marriage into the Lieberth family in 1719 gave the business its present name. Master brewer and owner Christian Volkmuth runs it alongside a brewery inn and two sandstone rock cellars: the Dorfkeller by the river Aisch, cut in 1787, and the cellar on the Kreuzberg from a decade later. Almost all beer is sold directly from the brewery, and the range centres on an unfiltered Kellerbier.
