Wimitz Oak Aged Imperial Pils

Austria·Imperial Pilsner
Tap to rate

Honey-coloured and bottom-fermented, with honey, berries and the typical scent of oak in the aroma; on the palate pleasantly light, slowly becoming full-bodied and ending in a distinct whiskey aroma with a hint of almond in the finish. For this strong beer Wimitz brewed a special organic Imperial Pils and matured it for several months in a single malt whiskey oak cask; the 2024 edition is a limited release.

Serve at 4–7°C

Serve well-chilled at 4–6°C for maximum crispness. A pilsner served too warm loses its defining snap.

Pilsner glass

The tall, narrow pilsner glass preserves carbonation and showcases the golden clarity that defines the style.

Drink fresh and cold. Pilsners do not improve with age — within 3 months of packaging is ideal.
