Weyerbacher Double Simcoe IPA

◎ Appearance

Bright golden amber with excellent clarity and a dense, persistent white head that clings to the glass. Carbonation is crisp and active, creating fine bubbles that maintain the substantial foam collar throughout the tasting.

◌ Aroma

An explosively aromatic nose dominated by Simcoe's signature tropical and citrus character. Waves of grapefruit zest, pine resin, and bright citrus notes assault the senses, with underlying herbal and resinous undertones that speak to the hop's intensity and concentration.

◐ Taste

The palate delivers a bold, unapologetic assault of hop bitterness and resinous character from the first sip. Citrus and grapefruit flavors dominate the mid-palate, layered over a substantial malt backbone that provides balance and body, while the bitterness builds steadily throughout.

◑ Finish

A dry, clean finish with lingering bitterness and subtle alcohol warmth (9% ABV) that extends the Simcoe character. The resinous pine notes persist pleasantly on the aftertaste without becoming harsh or cloying.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
