Bio 1875 Hell

Tap to rate

Brewed for the brewery's 150th anniversary: a clear, bottom-fermented Helles with a fine-bitter hop note, a soft entry and a balanced, refreshing drinkability. Straw-gold at 4.7 % ABV, brewed from water, barley malt, hops and yeast with malt and hops from Bioland farming. The name nods to 1875, when the Mendig brewery began, and the beer toasts tradition and future alike.

◐ Taste

The entry is soft and approachable, delivering a balanced sweetness from the pale malt without heaviness. Mid-palate develops a light, crisp bitterness from the noble hops, finishing with a gentle drying effect that invites another sip. The overall impression is harmonious and refreshing—well-integrated bitterness (18 IBU) and malt work in concert rather than competing.
