🌍 United States · Fruited Sour · One of 32 Fruited Sours in hopIQ

Twilight Passage is the brewery's first foudre-aged beer: a spritzy saison rested nine months in a large French oak vessel before organic blueberries and mulberries were added in quantity. The foudre is refilled solera-style, so new versions are planned. The beer pours a vivid pomegranate red with a pinkish head. Blueberry, mulberry, red currant, pomegranate, pinot noir grape and oak make up the aroma. The palate is light and effervescent, with a balanced sourness and notes of blueberry, raspberry and red currant.

◌ Aroma

The nose opens with ripe blueberry and dark mulberry, supported by bright red currant and pomegranate notes. A subtle mineral edge and gentle oak char emerge from nine months in the foudre, while delicate pinot noir grape undertones add complexity. The aromatic profile remains balanced and inviting rather than jammy or overripe.

◐ Taste

The palate is light and effervescent, opening with bright acidity that frames berry fruit elegantly across the mid-palate. Red currant and raspberry provide tangy structure, while the sourness remains restrained and food-friendly. Oak integrates subtly, lending a dry finish without harshness or astringency.
