The brewery's signature beer and the one most people mean when they speak of Vierzehnheiligen beer. It pours a deep horse-chestnut brown with a fiery red glint, filtered clear, under a cream-coloured head. The nose brings malt, grain and bread crust with roasted and toasty notes and hints of apple, brown sugar and liquorice. The first sip is soft and sweet; chocolate, espresso, caramel and Brazil nut follow before a firm bitterness closes the finish.
