🌍 Japan · Japanese Lager · One of 5 Japanese Lagers in hopIQ

Suntory's flagship all-malt Japanese lager, launched 2003 as a challenger to the adjunct-dominated domestic market. All barley malt (Diamond Malts sourced from Europe), Saaz and Hallertau Noble hops, ~20 IBU, 5.5% ABV. Rich, malt-forward for a Japanese lager, with a floral-herbal hop lift and the brand's signature dense, creamy foam. Brewed in Osaka and Kyoto; the soft Osaka water is why it drinks noticeably rounder than its adjunct-based Japanese peers.
