Sun King Galaxy High DIPA

◎ Appearance

Bright golden yellow with excellent clarity and a fine white head that dissipates to a thin lacing. Lively carbonation creates visible effervescence throughout the glass. The pale hue is characteristic of a well-crafted DIPA built around a single noble hop variety.

◌ Aroma

Vibrant tropical fruit aromatics dominate the nose, with prominent Galaxy hop character expressing passionfruit and stone fruit notes. Secondary citrus and subtle pine undertones complement the fruit-forward profile without any harsh resinous edge. Clean malt backbone allows the hop character to shine without competing notes.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with bold citrus and tropical fruit from Galaxy hops, transitioning to a resinous mid-palate with grapefruit and peach notes. Moderate bitterness (75 IBU) is well-integrated and balanced against the full body, never becoming harsh or astringent. Clean finish suggests excellent brewing technique for a beer of this strength.

◑ Finish

Clean and crisp finish with lingering hop bitterness and subtle pine character that doesn't overstay its welcome. The 8.8% ABV remains imperceptible, making this deceptively drinkable for a DIPA.

Serve at 8–11°C for the best flavour balance and aroma expression.

The curved shape concentrates hop aromas and supports a thick head. Essential for aromatic ales and IPAs where the nose is half the experience.
