Lake Shore Fog

Tap to rate

Tropical, citrus and stone fruit with a floral edge, topped by dank, resinous Mosaic, Citra and Amarillo; a slight malty sweetness sits underneath and the finish is dry and very mild. Named for a cool early-morning mist at the water's edge, this 6.5% IPA took a year of development, dry hopped on four different days and only 20 IBU.

◐ Taste

The palate entry is dry and hoppy, delivering immediate resinous and citrus intensity that maintains focus throughout the mid-palate. Tropical notes—pineapple and mango—intermingle with the dank hop character, while the malt backbone provides gentle sweetness that balances the bitter elements without dominance. The 20 IBU creates a pleasingly mild bitterness that integrates seamlessly with the complex hop aromatics rather than asserting harshness.

◑ Finish

The finish is notably dry and clean, with the bitterness fading quickly to leave a lingering citrus and floral aftertaste. The dank, resinous character persists without becoming fatiguing, and any malty sweetness dissipates briskly, leaving the palate refreshed and ready for the next sip.
