Screamsickle

Tap to rate

Aromas of orange come shrieking out of the can in this 8.5% hazy double IPA. A trio of hops amplifies the citrus notes while a splash of vanilla smooths things out, balancing sweetness against hop bite. It comes out of Sixpoint's original Mad Scientist laboratory in a super small batch, and like every Sixpoint ale since May 2017 it goes out raw and unfiltered.

◐ Taste

The palate opens with assertive citrus and tropical fruit, carried by a balanced hop bitterness that sits at 50 IBU—noticeable but never harsh. Vanilla and a light malt sweetness create gentle softness, smoothing the dry hop bite into an integrated whole without sacrificing complexity.
