Taddy Porter
A very dark, full-bodied porter with a rich, creamy head. Roasted barley sets the tone: dark chocolate, coffee and a dry, tangy roast edge, with a little caramel and a firm bitterness underneath. The finish is dry and lingering. It is brewed with well water, malted and roasted barley and cane sugar and fermented in slate Yorkshire squares. The brewery put porter back into its range in 1979, when the style had all but vanished in Britain; "Taddy" was its first registered trademark.
