Redwell Steam Lager

Tap to rate

Redwell's flagship and its best seller to pubs and restaurants, in the range since 2013. It is a California Common-style hybrid: lager yeast fermented at ale temperatures, hopped with Cascade and Bravo, with caramel malts giving a copper-amber colour. Spiced cake and caramel on the nose; stewed apple, currants, straw and spice over a biscuity malt base, plus a touch of citrus. Malty like an amber ale, clean like a lager, at 4.6%. Sold on draught and in cans.
